With the internet becoming more mainstay and replacing more traditional forms of media, it should come as no surprise why so many people are trying to start online businesses. Having an online business allows you to be your own boss, work from home, set your own hours, and it can be set up for very little money. But to ensure you can get the most out of your online business, there are a few simple Internet Marketing Rules that you should follow.
1: Be focused. There are all types of ways to make money online and it can be easy to get sidetracked as you try to be a jack of all trades. It is important to decide what, exactly, you are going to do and then stick with it. This applies to all aspects of your business. Changing when something does not work is one thing, but people often tend to hop from one thing to the next. They do not stick with it long enough for it to work, and you can not afford to do this.
2: Market yourself. One aspects of owning an online business that many
people overlook is what exactly you are selling. In a lot of cases, it
is you yourself that you need to market. Whether you are offering your
personal services, or simply to make people more inclined to buy from
you. Do not be afraid to reveal some information about yourself and show
that you are a human being as well.
3: Work offline. Continuing off that, one of the Internet Marketing Rules you should follow through with is working offline as well as on. While marketing your business online is important, you can not neglect the real world. Put business cards around town, spread your business via word of mouth. Also give your clients ways to contact you outside of the internet, such as by phone. The more exposure you get the better your chances of success.
4: Focus on your own specialty. We are all good at certain things, and if you find that you have a knack for something, stick to it and make it one of your strong points. Whether you are highly knowledgeable about a certain product, or are a good speaker. Highlight these aspects and use them to your advantage so that you can more easily make sales.
5: Be patient. One of the most important Internet Marketing Rules is to simply be patient. People go into the internet expecting it to be some miraculous wonderland of easy riches. While it has its advantages, it is still a business and it will still require a lot of time and effort to get going. No matter what you do, you will not see a lot of money overnight. Do not let yourself get discouraged and give up, as happens to so many people.
These five rules can help you get on the road to success. There are many other tips and tricks out there to further help you refine your business, but these five will give you a good foundation.
Guaranteed, you’ve been on the customer side of this equation. You buy a product and you think you’re going to be directed to the download page. Instead, you find yourself on an upsell page trying to sell you another product.
No problem, you scroll to the bottom and click the ‘no thanks’ link, thinking you’re about to get to the download page.
No such luck. You’re on another upsell page. You scroll down and click ‘no thanks’ again, and you’re taken to…
… yet another upsell page. Now you’re getting irritated. You scroll down, click the ‘no thanks’ button, and you’re finally taken to…
… another upsell page! @#$%&
You’re no longer just irritated, you’re annoyed, mad and even downright ANGRY. Odds are you are talking to your computer and what you’re saying is not very nice.
Who can blame you?
Now then, let’s look at this from the marketer’s standpoint: The more offers you as the marketer can make, the more money you will make.
Today, that is.
But when you make your customers angry, what happens? They remember how you made them feel. In fact, they will remember how you made them feel long, long after they’ve forgotten your product. And the next time you try to sell them something, they’ll decide they’re going to stay far away from your offers because they do NOT want to get caught in upsell hell ever again.
So what’s the solution? Offer ONE upsell. Just one. Then take your buyers straight to the download page.
On the download page, you can offer them another product with a nice discount. You’re not holding their purchase hostage at this point because they’re able to download it. So they’re not going to resent you for making them another offer, especially if they get it at a reduced price.
Then in your autoresponder sequence, you can offer them all the upsells, down sells and cross sells you like interspersed with helpful info, news and so forth.
The bottom line comes down to this: If you want to be a flash in the pan and make all of your money today, use a ton of upsells. No one will buy from you again, but it won’t matter because you’ll be living on the beach somewhere carving coconuts.
But if you want to build a long term business, then respect your customers and never, ever put them through upsell hell again.
So, if you are still wondering “Why should I start making money from home” you should really be asking how soon can I start? Check out the program below for an honest way to make money online. It is working for me…
First, the bad news: If you’re telling customers that you’re only selling “X” number of your digital product, they’re going to think you’re a scammer.
Think about it. Back in 2000, you could tell people you’re only selling 1,000 copies and they would believe you. But it’s 2020, and people have seen this tactic so many times, they not only don’t believe you – it makes them question everything else you say.
Plus, how shortsighted can you be to limit how much money you make? Let’s say you put out a truly great product, but to create scarcity and make sales you decide to limit either the number of products sold, or the time during which you will sell them.
You make the sales, you pull the product, and your income goes to zero. That could be a big long-term loss for you.
Or worse yet, you claim you will pull the product but you don’t. Or you say you “may” stop selling, but you don’t. Or you stop selling for 2 days or 2 weeks or 2 months, and then you open it up again.
And your credibility goes out the door.
So how do you create scarcity of digital products without losing sales and credibility?
You need to have a legitimate reason for creating the scarcity. For example, if you’re selling PLR, then obviously you can’t flood the market with thousands of copies or the PLR will lose its value.
But most products can be sold forever without causing the buyers a problem. So in that case, what do you do to create scarcity? You use the second method, which is…
… Bonus packages. And the good news: It’s easy, it’s highly effective, and done correctly it can create sales for you for a long time to come.
Here’s how it works:
Go to other marketers who sell products that compliment yours. These should be products that have only been sold and have never been given away. Otherwise they lose their value.
Ask these marketers if you can do a deal: You get to give away their product to your next 50 / 500 / 1,000 customers or all of your customers during the next week / two weeks / month. In return they get a percentage of your profits, along with the email addresses of all the buyers.
Not many marketers will say no to this offer. They get paid for sales they’re expending no effort to make. PLUS they get the email address of every buyer so they can sell them more products later.
And the best part is, you can repeat this as many times as you like, always offering new products as your limited bonuses. Maybe you offer the “XYZ” product to early bird buyers during the first 10 days only. Then during the next month you offer the “ABC” product, and the month after that, the “DEF” product and so forth.
True, in theory you could offer this bonus forever, except that in reality the owner of the product you’re giving away has the final say on how many copies you can give out. And as you tell your customers, you have to follow their rules or you can’t give away any of their product.
See how this works?
Added bonus for you: You’re creating alliances with these product owners. If you treat them right you’ll be able to do more deals with them in the future as well.
Bottom Line: By using REAL scarcity in this manner, you can continue to sell your product for a long time to come. And your customers will respect you for it, too.
Working online has become more and more popular as people are starting to realize you can make a lot of money owning your own internet business. It is far easier and cheaper to start up than a conventional brick and mortar store and can yield a lot more profit. However, while it is true that it is fairly easy to get into internet marketing online, many people fail and give up.
To help you out and keep you from stumbling over hurdles and giving up here are some very simple steps to getting your business off the ground. These steps will give you an idea of where to go so that you are not just blindly stumbling around.
1: Pick a niche. This is where you first need to start when looking to get into the world of the internet. You need to find out what exactly you want to sell. Health, a service, money, self help, these are niches. What you want to do is find a niche that is popular, but does not have a lot of competition.
2: Choose a business name. Once you find your niche and are ready to get into internet marketing online you need to figure out what you are going to call yourself. You want your name to be related to your niche and product, but also something simple and easy to remember.
3: Look into domain names and hosting. Everybody knows this but just in case you didn’t know. A domain name is what you see when you go to a website. For example, Google.com is a domain name. When choosing a domain name you want one that reflects your niche and also contains keywords related to your niche, that way when someone does a search your domain name comes up first.
Hosting is when all the files related to your website are stored somewhere, such as a server or computer. This is not feasible to do from your home computer so you need to look into purchasing a hosting account from a company, this will ensure your website is always online and easily accessible. Hosting fees are actually very reasonable and you can set up your own website without any technical skills.
4: Build your website. There are certain criteria a website must meet in order to show up properly on search engines. Things like SEO and backlinking are important to get your website ranked highly. This can be time consuming and cumbersome to learn but it is not difficult but if you have the money to spare there are a lot of services out there willing to do this for you. Most hosting services have easy to follow “build your won” website so don’t get discouraged.
5: Promote your business. This can be a little tricky and is usually where most people fail. An internet business is no different than any other business, you need to market it and make sure people know it exists. You will have to put unique and new content on it regularly and make sure it is working as intended. It is not some fire and forget sort of affair. Don’t give up.
These steps should provide you with the building blocks necessary to succeed online. For more detailed information on each step there are a variety of blogs and training programs that can tell you exactly what you need to do. Get your own free money making website here with 30 days of free training included. Ask me about it.
Which one would you remember: “Pete and Earl’s Hair Salon for Men,” or “Best Head Salon?” How about “The Best Irrigation Installation and Repair” or “Dirty Boots Irrigation?”
Choosing a memorable name for your business, service or product can actually increase your business, for 3 reasons:
– People can remember it in conversation with others. “Check out the “Stealth Remodeler,” he does work during off-hours so he won’t bother your customers.
– People remember it each time they see it. They might forget a generic name and not realize they’ve seen it over and over again online in forums, on blogs and so forth. But a memorable name they will remember. “Hey, I see that product or service everywhere, it must be good!”
– People can remember it when they need your product or service. “I’ve got to get a new window, so I’ll call the one window place I remember: ‘Peek-a-boo Windows.’” Or, “I need help with my website SEO, I’ll Google ‘Naked SEO’ because I remember their name from an article I read.”
Everything else being equal, the catchy, memorable name will win the business.

All On Auto Pilot! Perfect for Affiliate Marketers!
A HUGE Amount of Money Can Be Yours EVERY WEEK With:
-No Recruiting -No Cold Calling -No Convincing -No Selling -No Blogging -No Chasing People on Facebook or Other Social Media
It doesn’t get any easier than this. You can
be set-up and running in 15-20 minutes. This is the answer to getting traffic
to your websites all on autopilot.
Right out of the gate the company boasts a sign-up rate of
83% for people viewing the presentation video to completion. While I can not
attest to that it could be legit as the program is completely free to join.
While the program is free to join, they do have upgrade
options. Before I get to the upgrade option I have to mention that the free
account is more than generous. You also don’t get hit with OTO’s (one time
offers) when signing in to your account.
Before getting into all the benefits you get as a free
member, let’s first delve into what SoManyHits is…
Like the sales video explains, SoManyHits.com is first and
foremost a URL tracking and shortening service, meaning you can shorten all
your affiliate links and track how many clicks they receive. Unlike mostly all
other tracking services (even the paid ones), there is no limit on the amount
of campaigns you can create or clicks you may receive during a given month
before shelling out more money to keep on tracking. This is true even for free
members.
They also made it easy to track multiple advertising sources
from the same campaign tracking URL by simply adding a keyword identifiable to
you to the end of the tracking URL. When a shortened tracking URL is followed,
the hit is recorded and displayed in your back-office, complete with a
break-down of where the hits came from (keywords appended).
The service also promises to create a flood of traffic to
any and all campaigns that will keep on doubling. While this may sound
outrageous, it is actually very likely to happen because of their unique
referral system. Well…, when I say unique, for those of you familiar with
their sister site EasyCash4Ads.com, it actually makes use of the exact same
2-up referral system where your first two referrals are passed up to your
sponsor into what they call traffic lines. Every person who ends up in one of
your traffic lines will first have to sponsor two people who will go to their
sponsor, which means that particular traffic line keeps doubling.
If you are put off by the notion that you first have to
refer two people that goes to your sponsor before the system can begin working
for you, the good news is that sign-ups should not be hard to come by seeing
that the program is free to join and their affiliate tools also helps a lot to
achieving this requirement (more on that later).
Getting back to the traffic aspect, every time one of your
tracking links are followed, visitors will first pass through an ad gateway,
similar to services such as ad fly where they will first see an interstitial ad
for a couple of seconds before being directed to the site being tracked. That
ad will be a random campaign belonging to your sponsor, so when you take into
account the way traffic lines keep doubling, it gives credence to the claim
that your traffic will also keep doubling. It should be noted, when you create
a new campaign, you can choose to promote the campaign through your traffic
lines via an interstitial ad or (for pro members) a pop-under ad. Members may
also choose not to promote certain campaigns.
While there is something to be said about the annoyance of
pop-under and interstitial ads, bear in mind that their target market is
Internet marketers. These are the same people signing up for programs through
traffic exchanges, so I can very well see this traffic converting very well
indeed.
Apart from the traffic, URL tracking and URL shortening, you
also have the ability to export the contact details of everybody in your
traffic lines into a CVS file to easily import to your auto-responder of
choice. The great thing about this for the new member joining is that they will
only end up in their sponsor’s mailing list because of the way their referral
system works. This is great as the last thing I want when signing up for a new
opportunity is to end up in as many mailing lists as are dependent on the size
of the member’s down-line or up-line. For those who don’t yet have an
auto-responder account (what are you waiting for?), you still get to message
your traffic lines through an internal messaging system complete with a WYSIWYG
(what you see is what you get) editor every 10 days. (Pro members can message
their traffic lines every 60 hours)
The owners of SoManyHits.com realize the strength of an
affiliate network and this is reflected in the tools they make available to
members to promote their affiliate links. When they launched their sister site
EasyCash4Ads, the IM world was abuzz with talk about their beautiful splash and
capture pages. With SoManyHits they did it again with a total of 120 splash,
capture and brain-teaser pages (which double as splash pages) and improved on
the design by displaying an animation while the image is loading. These pages
can also easily be shared as stunning image cards to your Twitter and Facebook
followers with a click of a button.
Members have an abundance of emails and banners as well as
some other nifty tools to promote their links, not to mention affiliate links
also get promoted through their shortened tracking links which means they can
actually lay claim to their product slogan of working smarter, not harder.
Getting to the upgraded features, analyzing your tracking
stats really come into their own with much more detailed reports and real time
charts. Platinum members also get to message their traffic lines every 60 hours
as apposed to every 10 days, they have more options available to them when
creating campaigns but where the pro membership really shines is in the income
plan.
Platinum membership plans start at $27 for 60 days or $13.50
per month. (a quick Google search revealed most of the competition start at an
average of $29/month with limited clicks). From there the options go up to $69
for 6 months ($11.50 per month), $121 for one year ($10, 08 per month) and $177
for 2 years ($7, 38 per month) As an upgraded member you will receive, $10,
$20, $30 and $50 respectively every time the platinum membership is renewed.
Free members will receive 40% of the commission amount while the other 60% will
go to the first upgraded member in their up-line. This effectively means
upgraded members will make an extra 60% commission from members who have
already qualified out of their traffic lines.
Taking this up yet another notch, they also pay out
performance bonuses where you could earn an additional 40% commission.
Commissions are paid out twice a month and should you earn $350 during a pay
period, they will add another $50 to your commission. Earn $700 and you will
get an extra $100 on top of the $50 bonus you received. Earn $1000 and receive
yet another $250 on top of what you already earned. From $1000 up, you will get
a bonus of $400 for every $1000 you earn. Taking into consideration that upgraded
members also receive 60% second tier commissions from free members who
qualified out of their traffic lines, it effectively means you will earn 40%
extra commission through your own efforts as well as from free members in your
down-line.
From what I understand, the developers are already working
on more features to be implemented that will be available to pro members. While
the free plan will impress even the most critical user, members will be
hard-pressed not to upgrade, especially taking the affordable upgrade options
into account.
In summary, SoManyHits.com is a well-thought-out service
offering a lot of value for the cash strapped marketer with a generous
compensation plan and a promise to grow a traffic monster that will serve you
well in time to come.
When starting up an online business odds are you will have a product or service you wish to sell and to do that you need to promote it. That is what internet marketing is all about, promoting your product(s) or service and having customers make a purchase. However finding the best method for internet marketing promotion can be difficult. There are plenty of people who try all sorts of things but none of them seem to work or they don’t stick with it. You don’t just give up after a week or two. It takes a little time.
Well, there are often many rookie mistakes people will make. These mistakes dishearten them and cause them to quit. But if you are reading this, odds are you managed to overcome the desire to quit and are willing to persevere, which means you are already a step closer to the success you want. Each day is a step closer to success.
Ultimately, your goal will be to get as many people visiting your website as possible. The more people who visit your site, the more chances there are of someone buying your product or service. It all boils down to numbers and you want the biggest numbers possible. It is kind of a numbers game.
There are a lot of ways you can go about promoting your product. Some work better than others and many of them depend on the specific product or service you are trying to sell.
The first thing you want to do when going about internet marketing promotion is to simply stick with it. What I mean by this is that you need to always be putting out new content, new email marketing, new freebies. One big pitfall that traps many people is they just poke at their business with a stick and it never really goes anywhere.
To be successful online you need to always be active. This does not mean you have to work twelve hours a day, seven days a week, but you do have to put out something new at least every couple of days. This can be anything, from uploading an article to a directory to posting on safelists to working on back links to posting a blog to traffic exchanges. Many different ways to internet marketing.
Another thing you need to do is make sure to build a rapport with people who sign up to your email list. You should write up an email two or three times a week and send them out to those who opted in. These emails should be something they would want to read. Helpful information is the main thing people send in these emails. Just something you think might be of use to them, related to your product of course. You can see and sign up for my newsletter above to get ideas.
Finally, while building a rapport and staying active are important, one method of internet marketing promotion that people overlook is testing new things. The internet is always changing, new things pop up and new ways of doing things are discovered. You need to constantly be trying new approaches to find what works and what does not.
These three promoting techniques can help you be successful online. But they are not the alpha and omega of internet marketing. There are so many methods and ways to promote your product you will never learn or use them all. And with new ones always be invented you need to stay on your toes. The biggest fault you can make is to not maintain your business and never give up.
The competition for your prospect’s attention is at an all-time high. Simultaneously, the time they have to pay attention to your message is at an all-time low. Combined, these two things make selling harder than ever, which presents its own opportunity…
Make it so easy for your customer to say yes, they practically don’t even have to think about it. How? By making them an offer they cannot refuse. (Cue music from the Godfather.)
Imagine two side-by-side offers. Both are selling programs on how to become an effective public speaker. Both are quite excellent – the prospect would do well to buy either one.
One program sells for $997, or 3 payments of $340. The other program says, “We are so confident you will love this program, we will ship it to you for the mere cost of postage. You pay NOTHING beyond shipping for a full 30 days. If, for any reason, you decide not to keep it, simply send it back and we will not charge you. But we’re confident you will never want to part with it, because it’s that good.”
Which program would you choose – the one where you pay $997 or $340 upfront? Or the one where you pay $12 for shipping and get to try it out before you decide? It’s a no brainer offer.
And you can do this with digital delivery as well. Charge your customers $1 today and the full price or the first payment in 30 days. Let them know you will send them an email 3 days prior to charging their card. Give them two ways to stop payment before it happens. And watch the sales roll in. Yes, a few people will cancel, but most won’t (if your product is solid). And you’ll make far more sales than you would by asking for all the money up front.
Positioned correctly, this technique can convey more confidence in your product than almost anything else. You are essentially saying to your customer that you will prove to them beyond a shadow of doubt just how good your product is, or they don’t pay anything. Now who can refuse an offer like that?
When you hear complaints from people who’ve tried going into business online for example affiliate marketing and failed, chances are that it’s not that their efforts were wrong, they just weren’t practicing effective internet marketing. This is where many of the internet marketing center and programs you can purchase fail the average business person. They give an introduction to different ways you can promote your business online, but they only go that far and stop. They don’t give in depth information about how to tweak these techniques to make them work for you, and what to do if they don’t seem to be working.
There’s only one true secret to effective internet marketing: Reevaluate often and change tactics when necessary. Most sources of information you’ll find on internet marketing urge you to try many different models of promotion. Traditional ads, pay-per-click marketing, search engine optimization, joint ventures and a variety of other very good suggestions for ways to get your product or service out in front of those who would need or want it. So you’re introduced to all these various ways of marketing. Then many people think that’s all the information they need, so they jump in with both feet, blow their budget on pay-per-click advertising or some other expensive promotion. The reasoning is that the profits made from this promotion will replace the funds spent and even increase them for the next advertising campaign.
Unfortunately, it rarely works just this way. Very often a person will put these marketing techniques into effect all at once hoping for a large return, but instead very little happens and now there’s little budget left to try again. While there’s nothing wrong with advertising campaigns that cost, like pay-per-click marketing, this type of promotion isn’t right for every business, despite what the expert might say. And it’s hardly effective internet marketing to start out with pay-per-click spending.
Where most fail is that they don’t carefully monitor the response of every type of marketing they have in place. Effective internet marketing isn’t done once and forgotten, left to work behind the scenes to generate huge profit. It’s an evolving process, one that takes regular adjustment and change to be truly successful. And you really can begin this process without spending very much money, and sometimes without spending anything at all.
Aim for the lower cost forms of marketing first. Article marketing, for instance, and filling a blog with fresh keyword optimized content to attract good search engine ranking effective internet marketing and a great start. Yes, you’ll want to optimize your web content, even if you have pay someone to do it correctly. But hold off on the expensive pay-per-click campaign until you see which keywords and which articles and blog post are referring you the most customers. Then put your money where your customers are, in essence, but creating a pay-per-click campaign based on results you’ve already seen with other methods. Effective internet marketing requires you to reevaluate all of this often, because your best keywords can change even from day to day. Also Never give up!!!
